



Challenge
This US Federal Service Department was undergoing a management-level process improvement initiative
The department was challenged with both preparing and educating the management team in the areas of process improvement methods
Transform was contracted to develop and deliver focused and effective Lean Six Sigma training
Approach
Faced by a department management team with extreme time constraints, Transform developed a training package that would demonstrate the practical application of Lean Six Sigma while at the same time providing value for the organization in the form of hard savings
Training included a one week overview of the method, a "Quick-Hit" project chosen by the individual managers in their respective functions, follow-up mentoring sessions to work through the use of the tools, and a final control phase to harvest the intended benefits of the individual projects
Results
With a newly trained and invigorated management team, this department was able to reap the short-term benefits of its Quick-Hit projects and the long-term benefits of implementing an effective continuous improvement method
