Challenge
As a follow up to an aircraft incident involving an Air Force C-5B in 2006, the AMC Safety Directorate targeted the implementation of a program to capture and assess mission risk
The Director of Safety enlisted the help of Transform to develop and deploy an Operational Risk Management program throughout the command as a standard method for risk management
Approach
Transform focused on an overall strategy that included developing an integrated risk model to identify all risk variables, training resources in the application of the tool, deploying the application across the command, and continuously improving the method through constant user feedback
Results
Transform delivered an overall ORM strategy, program deployment plan, training package, functional and technical specifications, and prototype risk model for final development
AMC Safety was able to implement a standardized method for assessing mission risk across the command as a means for driving increased safety
